We operate a fully licenced mobile bar, and can organise a temporary event licence where required.

The Tack Room

Marlborough Events operates The Tack Room Bar at major venues. This is a popular facility at equestrian events such as Bicton Arena and Barbury Castle.

The Tack Room provides a comfortable and welcoming environment for refreshment, relaxation, simply filling in some spare time, or winding down at the end of the day.

You will find a well-stocked bar with snacks, and tables and seating areas. Where location allows – for example at Bicton and Barbury – there is an excellent view of the action. At Bicton Arena, we also provide WiFi and TV screens, so you won’t miss anything while enjoying your refreshment.

Where venues allow, we can also provide nighttime bar and catering, with entertainment.

We have access to a whole variety of bands, singers, musicians and club DJ’s. We can supply sound systems, sophisticated lighting solutions, illuminated dance floors and any other equipment necessary to create atmosphere and entertain your guests.

Planning your Event

What you can expect from us:

  • An initial consultation, to establish the parameters of the event, likely budget, preferred style of event, catering etc.
  • Site visit to discuss the logistics and resources required to put together your event.
  • Experienced staff at all stages: set-up, catering, bar and waiting staff, facilities management, security (if required).
  • Careful attention to the atmosphere and mood of your event.
  • Sourcing of entertainment, and required facilities such as sound systems, live bands, dance floors, lighting etc.

Marlborough Events is owned and run by three partners:

Jeremy Scott

From school, Jeremy entered the horse industry, specialising in training show jumpers and riders. This included 6 years training a team of riders in the UAE up to international level. He then entered the hospitality industry. For a number of years he ran the Railway Tavern in Hungerford, well known as a live music venue as well as enjoying a fine reputation for its food and drink.

In recent years Jeremy has moved full time into events organisation and management, using his extensive experience and contacts in the hospitality and music industries. His hog roasts and giant paellas are famous, and he caters for many trainers’ hospitality and open days. Marlborough Events represents another step forward, partnering with leading jockeys Steve Drowne and Martin Dwyer.

Steve Drowne and Martin Dwyer

Steve and Martin have been among the country’s leading jockeys since the mid-1990s, both enjoying multiple Group 1 successes. Martin has won both Epsom classics, The Oaks in 2003 and The Derby in 2006.

Steve and Martin have joined Jeremy in forming Marlborough Events, and are increasingly involved in expanding and running the business.
